Welcome to Vidra ("Vidra," "we," "us" or "our"). Vidra is an online platform that helps content creators transform and manage their video libraries. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Vidra's websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Google Limited-Use Disclosure

Vidra's use of information received from Google APIs, including the YouTube Data API v3, complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Limited Use requirements.

Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the revised policy on this page and, if required, notify you by email or in-app notice before the change becomes effective.

Personal Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information – name, email address, and password hash.
  • Content & Project Data – titles, tags, descriptions, and other metadata you enter.
  • Communications – messages or files you send to us (e.g., support tickets, feedback).

2.2 Information from Google APIs (YouTube Read-Only)

When you connect your Google account, we request the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly, which allows us to read:

  • Channel, playlist, and video metadata you own.
  • Public and unlisted playlists you own.

We never edit, upload, or delete YouTube content.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Logs – IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Cookies / Local Storage – session tokens and preference data.

2.4 Information from Third-Party Sources

We may receive publicly available data (e.g., from YouTube public endpoints) or referral information from partners.

How We Use Personal Information

We use information to:

Provide and maintain the Services – authenticate you, import your YouTube metadata, and display results.
Improve and develop features – analyze aggregated usage to enhance performance and fix bugs.
Communicate with you – respond to inquiries and send service-related notices.
Protect the platform – detect fraud and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell or rent your personal information or use YouTube data for targeted advertising.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We only share information:

  • Service Providers – cloud hosting, analytics, and customer support vendors bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal or Safety Reasons – to comply with law or protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business Transfers – in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • With Your Consent – when you explicitly authorize sharing (e.g., exporting data to a third-party tool).

Data Security

Vidra is hosted on Microsoft Azure. We apply the following safeguards:

  • All traffic is served over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
  • Data stored in Azure managed services (e.g., Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Blob Storage) is encrypted at rest using Microsoft-managed keys.
  • Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel who authenticate with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and follow least-privilege principles.

While no system is completely secure, we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information.

Data Retention

  • YouTube Data – retained for the duration of your projects and refreshed at least every 30 days to ensure accuracy; you may delete it at any time from your account settings.
  • Account Data – retained while your account is active and for up to 90 days after deletion, unless a longer period is required by law.

Your Privacy Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email privacy@vidra.ai. You may also revoke Vidra's access via your Google security settings.

Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete it promptly.

Additional YouTube API Disclosures

  • Vidra only uses the YouTube Data API v3 to read channel, playlist, and video metadata that you own and authorize.
  • Vidra does not upload, modify, or delete any YouTube content on your behalf.
  • You can revoke Vidra's access at any time via Google Security Settings.
